Arri / Zeiss Super Speed T1.3 prime lenses were first manufactured in West Germany and became one of the most popular lens choices of the 1970s and 80s due to their compact size and high performance at fast apertures. The Super Speeds have remained popular to this day and are frequently paired with modern digital cameras. Their classic optical qualities and subtle vintage characteristics make a great match for today’s sensors and remain a favorite lens for many filmmakers.

T1.4 18mm 25mm 35mm 50mm 85mm + 135mm T2
The B-Speeds were first introduced in the mid 70’s as some of the fastest prime lenses you could purchase. The set consisted of an 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm. The B-Speed name comes from the fact that they were originally shipped from the factory in an Arri Bayonet Mount (B-Mount). The lenses had a maximum aperture of T1.4. Note that the front engraving on these classic primes will show a number that is NOT a T-stop rating, but rather an f/stop – hence the “1:1.2, 1:1.3, or 1:1.4” engraving. The /f stop was the theoretical aperture of the lens, factorable, as it were – whereas the T-stop markings on the iris ring were the actual measurable light being passed through the lens, onto the film. Speed aside, one of the most defining features of the B-Speeds is their triangular iris configuration. Despite the lenses have a 9-bladed diaphragm, the shape produced is a unique, unmistakable triangle. Wide-open, the lenses produced beautiful round bokeh, but as soon as you stop down… Triangle bokeh!

Five focal lengths making the first ever complete set..27, 38, 55, 80, 120. All lenses were designed to work with Full Frame sensors, but they also produce amazing character-rich results with S35 sensors. This new set, with its signature swirling bokeh, incorporates a unique tuning ring called “Bokeh Control” originally developed by Lomography. Dial in your own look on set with strength adjustments measured from 1 to 7. TRIBE7 BLACKWING7 T-Tuned prime lenses feature a “Transient” profile with increased flare and reduced saturation, further exaggerating contrast roll-off to the edge of the frame and providing increased edge halation. This is due to vintage-style, single-coated optics and edge coating. “T” lenses have a unique personality and are designed to render a slightly softer, more artistic image, with a higher degree of light reactivity and more vibrant flaring characteristic.

Our new Canon “Dream” set is available for rent (full-frame). These are Canon LTM rangefinders rehoused in Type SK housings. They deliver a completely different look than k35’s or FD’s. These high-speed lenses stand out with their unique, expressive, beautiful Bokeh making backgrounds look like Monet oil paintings. They are sharp wide open with smooth focus fall off, golden flares, very close focus, low chromatic aberration & pleasing smooth skin tones. There is a consistent look across all lenses in the set.
Notable focal lengths in this seven lens set include a 50mm f0.95 “Dream Lens”, which is part of the Canon LTM rangefinder series, matching the rest of the set. Also noteworthy is the incredible and rare 35mm f1.5, 85mm f1.5, & custom 25mm f1.5. We also include a 50mm f1.4.

Canon’s answer to the Zeiss Super Speeds, these cinema lenses won an Academy Award in 1977 and were used most notably on the film Aliens (1986). Fast and small, the glass elements exhibit less sharpness and contrast than most modern lenses, but more contrast and sharpness than the Kowa Cine Prominars. Our partners at True Lens Services (TLS) rehoused these elements for mechanical precision without sacrificing the optical quality or look.

The Phantom FLEX 2.5K (32GB) is a real powerhouse that boasts a 2.5K global shutter sensor capable of shooting at 1650 FPS at 2.5K, 2500 FPS at 2K, 2570 FPS at 1080 and 5300 FPS at HD! With 12-bit RAW and with a native ISO of 1600. The Phantom FLEX 2.5K comes equipped with an OLPF for optimal image quality, this filter blocks high frequency image information and reduces the effects of moiré and false color caused by high frequency waves in imagery.
Another unique feature to the FLEX 2.5K is the ‘Phantom HQ Mode’. Phantom HQ Mode uses a proprietary multi-sampling image enhancement technology. This results in an increase in electronic image stability that is unprecedented in digital high-speed cameras, also more stable blacks, lower noise and higher dynamic range. Maximum frame rates in HQ mode are approximately half of those in Standard mode (HQ 725 FPS at 2.5K, HQ 1275 FPS at 2K, HQ 2660 at HD, so still more than enough FPS!).
The Phantom Flex4K delivers low noise, high resolution 4K imaging at super 35mm format. The full- size images are delivered via 9.4 Gpx throughput in the Cine Raw file format. With up to 1,000 fps in 4K the images are compatible with major color grading and video editing applications and support standard sync-sound frame rates.
Lens mount options increase the operator flexibility and are interchangeable between PL, Canon EF (with electronic control), and Nikon F. The ability to change mounts encourages shot variety and decreases workflow difficulty between shots.
The Flex4K features a complete on-camera control interface view a menu system. 100% un-tethered operation is possible through battery mounts and remote-control options.
